Simone Kappeler's first photographs with the Diana camera were taken in 1981 during a three-month trip to the trip to the USA. The work Diana presents the results of her work in the field of spontaneous photography in book form.
The pictures of the photographer Simone Kappeler Kuhn on the following pages show only a selection of her wide-ranging artistic work and are therefore not and are therefore not representative of her entire work to date. But they bear particularly striking witness to the experimental testimony to the experimental courage of the photographer and and even more of her endeavour to create a visual language that language that does not impose itself on the viewer, but allows the perception of a reality of its own.
However, she took these pictures with a camera that couldn't be simpler or cheaper. The model is called Diana and was launched for children years ago in the the United States.
