Bildhalle artist Joost Vandebrug (NL) will be part of the group exhibition Beyond the Frame. Rethinking Photography at the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart, Luxembourg. As part of the European Month of Photography, the exhibition focuses on contemporary concerns about the visual language of photography, its creative possibilities and its role in today's world. The featured artists each xplore different aspects of experimental photography and move beyond the frame to question photography as a medium, its ability to represent reality and its place in an increasingly digital and post-photographic world.
Joost Vandebrug reinterprets photographic techniques from the past using traditional processes and materials to create images that elude classical representation and emphasise the materiality and temporality of photography.
