We are pleased to participate in the second edition of the ART SALON ZÜRICH art fair at Werkstadt Zürich and to present works by the Swiss artist duo Onoko, the French artist Laurence Aëgerter and the Swiss artist Douglas Mandry.
All three artistic positions stand for different concepts of landscape images. The artists use photography as a starting point in a longer artistic process. In the final realization, the photograph is only imaginable. Materials such as wood, sand, paper or textiles play a significant role.
In their atmospheric and abstract pictures, the Geneva-based artist duo Onoko make everything figurative unrecognisable. They capture a landscape in abstracted form, which essentially consists only of light, colour and sound.
The French conceptual artist Laurence Aëgerter alienates found photographs in her textile works and transforms them into impressive tapestries that glow at night through phosphorescent yarn.
In his work, Swiss artist Douglas Mandry explores how humans intervene in nature and what consequences this has for our lives and human existence.
